A hundred questions. Because I like myself and I have awesome oppinions.

I thought you could use some more self-centered rambling. So here goes.

1. What is your name? Anna Johnsen (that is the short version of my name ;D)

2. How old are you? 18 winters!

3. Are you sure? Yes, because my father said so, og hvad fatter gør er altid det rigtige.

4. What is your earliest memory? Running through a grass field in a strawberrydress on my 2nd birthday and seconds later being stung by a bumblebee. Bam!

5. What is your favourite alcoholic drink? Mead. This is probably the only 'viking' thing about me. I am a pussy regarding everything else concerning physical activities, such as fighting, running, etc.

6. What is your favourite vegetable? Pebberfruit! :D Or is that a fruit really? A cuccumber then :D

7. Do you remember your first day at school? Not in preschool, but in the first grade I do, because my teacher pronounced my name wrong when she called them out, and I thought it was someone else they meant, so I just continued to sit in my chair and wait for my turn, until my mom poked me quite violently out ;D

8. What is the worst exam result you remember ever getting?  F+ - in math of course.

9. How tall are you? 163cm! The perfect height for a real lady (;

10. Can you swim? Yes I can! I even were on a swimming team when I was younger. But I rarely swim anymore, since I hate the swimming halls, and Danish beaches are really gross because of all of the seaweed in the water. I  only swim when I am with my family in Spain (;

11. Who is your favourite movie actress? Tilda Swinton! She is such a beauty, and her acting is amazing!

How can you NOT agree?

12. Who is your favourite movie actor? Keanue Reeves. Because he is the king of sci-fi movies to me...

Johnny Mnemonic

68. What is your favourite way to travel ? By train (:

Extraterrestrials and spaceships - maybe.

Ghostly hotel

I absolutely love ghostly and scary old houses, especially hotels.
I would never dare to live in one, but to visit such a place - oh, the joy!
My brain must be warning me to do this, since it gave me this uncomfortable dream:

I dreamt that my family and I were on a trip to London, and had arrived to a very old and dusty hotel. All the colours were dark red, brown or fake gold.
I remember a certain picture of my family and I standing in an open elevator, all wearingg late 30's clothing - nothing fashionable, just the ordinary just-below-the-middleclass-style - all of us with a dazzled and confused look in our eyes.

There were cobwebs everywhere.

Upstairs our room, there was an attic, and in that small and dark attic lived dosens of pidgeons, and a small boy. I played games with him, and found out that he had run away from home or somewhere else, and lived with the pidgeons now, who seemed to have had adopted him as one of their own. I started to think of him as 'the pigeon boy'.

The director of the hotel was a very old, grumpy man who was always wearing an Edwardian tailored suit. I remember most one scene, where all of us being very hungry, went down to the lobby to ask where to buy some breakfast.
We were met by the director, who refused to sell us any breakfast. Suddenly, my tiny littlesister asks "But Mister, it doesn't have to be breakfast, any food will do!" This made him so angry that he yelled at us all for being rude, and he then tossed my sister across the floor.

Then I woke up.

Danes are so terribly depressing.

Stuff that I like - why lie?

So, I thought about coming up with some fancy title for this post, but really, where's the point in calling it something poetic that will make readers believe that it is all just a post about beautiful things that I want to enlighten your life with, and not just me showing how awesome my taste in everything is?
Oh well, of course.

Because that would make me look like an asshole.

Anyway, pictures!

IAMX
Joseph Harwood
Omnia
Yami Maya
Andrej Pejic

And of course, Pan.
Seriously, he's awesome

Please note that I'm not anywhere near cool enough to own these pictures,
and if you coincidentally happen to do so please let me know if it upsets you that
I share the beauty and truth and freedom and love with the uneducated masses.
Thank you (:

I don't speak Human!

Now you tell me that I'm wrong and Animals don't feel
You say the Earth is not alive and only We are real
You try to tell me to behave, that I must act like you
But I just stick my fingers in my ears and say "Fuck you!!!"

'Cause I don't speak Human!
I can't understand a word you're saying!

Through the mist

[IN HUMAN]
When I was riding the bus early this morning, there was at one point mist at all sides, a bit like the final scene in "Skuggarnos Hus" (House of Shadows). It was very easy to imagine that we were being driven into a parallel-universe this way, throught this thick, white mass that slowly enclosed around us. The term 'death by suffocation' quick flew through my thoughts.
At one time I could not see the road because of the mist, and I got a feeling that the bus was hovering over it all.
I thought of the elven girls dancing in the horizon, and the bog wife who brewed, while the rest of the world continued undisturbed around us.

Tír na nÓg came an went.

Ugh, I'm really feeling sick today - but not sick enough to get my family's compassion! My boyfriend is coming over in a few minutes and at least HE have promised to take a bit care of me - I'll just cuddle up in my bed for the rest of the day with him, doesn't that sound lovely?
Oh lord, I am being such a teenager ;D I hope you like the text, it's a true story!

GAIA

You're not here to fight against nature, you're not here to conquer nature, because there is nothing to conquer - it's all you! So when you use technology  - you're fighting yourself.

Please keep your filthy, dirty hands of her body.
Thank you.

Yes, it's ironic I posted this on the internet - but whatever,  you get the idea.

Folk Noir

I just ordered this album:

The album with the amazingly wonderful cover-design, is the first result of the musical project Folk Noir, which consists of Oliver S. Tyr (Faun)and Kaat Geevers (Leaf)

Oliver recording guitar.

        Kaat playing hammered dulcimer -->

According to the information given, it is "a blend of folk, medieval instruments and the music of singer/songwriter"
I've always been a bit skeptical towards the whole singer/songwriter-thing, since I find it too hollow and volatile.
But this is absolutely wonderful! The preview songs on the website - which you can find here - are so very good! I strongly recommend that you take a listen.
And yes, part of the reason is that when I saw the albumcover, I immediately fell in love - and since I just happen to be quite a fan of Faun's sound, this is just perfect!

If you like what you hear, you better hurry and go and buy it!
It will only be made in a limited number of copies, and only an even smaller number will be sold via internet on the website www.mondschatten-shop.com, since they are supposed to be sold solemnly at Faun concerts - yes, the shop is in German, and yes, it was very confusing at first, with the whole paying thing, since I understood very little - but I think I managed it well!

Love, Anna <3

It has been a while, though.

Since I last wrote you a letter, I mean.
Are the trees turning gold as well where you are? Probably.
But you could also be sitting in the middle of a desert, frozen or burning, it doesn't matter, as long as it is deserted.
The Siberian tundra fascinates me. It is amazing that so much death can hold so much life.

It reminds me of my new favorite song - "Not in love" by Crystal Castles and Robert Smith.
It might be due to recent events that I find it so amazing, but I love it nonetheless. The first time I heard it, I was riding my bike one of those classical dark and stormy nights, with the starts shining above me, along a deserted bikeway, in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere - fields stretching out on both sides, and lights from houses in the horizon. And for the first time in a long time, I was not afraid of the dark. It was wonderful.
(the video is fan-made)

I realize that I've spent too much time on this blog writing about how shitty life seems when you're a distorted teenager - you can't really use that for anything, can you?
I suppose I look at this as too much of a diary, and some sort of 'English-practice' - which it is, too.
But I thought I would share with you one of the many project I try to finish (since I'm the kind of person that starts a lot of things, like knitting a sweater, writing a long story, painting a painting, and most of the times, never finish - not because I give up, but because it bore me) but this time I think I will!
I begun NAALBINDING :D

And what in the world is that, you might ask yourself? - why, it is of course the kind of knitting the vikings did! It's awesome! I'm nearly done with the first sock, and I love it,because it is so easy! And looks very pretty too C:

The sock I'm making (from the site where I got the pattern):
Link to the pattern

That's it for now! Keep warm (:

Worst. Dream. EVER.

Okay, so this night I dreamt that I poked all of my friends on facebook.
I mean seriously, what the fuck? What kind of dream is that?
I was not disappointed when I woke up, just... Weirded out.
Anyway.
As I wrote yesterday, I am going to team up with my extraordinarily beautiful (and crazy) friend, Isabella!
She is half German, so you can already tell this is going to be wild! We're going to the Rick Astley concert on Train this evening, and I cannot express how much I am looking forward!
Btw, you should all check out Isabella's blog - http://artandwordsfromateenager.blogspot.com/
She draws way better than me, and it's really worth taking a look!

Frustrated + apathetic

Hi guys, didn't see you there! Ah--- ha. ha. ha.
Oh lord.
I really want to make a new post, but I don't really have anything to write about.
Every time I start a new document, I just sit and stare at the blank paper.
I think I have a serious case of 'writer's blog' ):
But there just isn't anything interesting going on in my life at the moment - and I'm not funny, so I can't write comedy-stuff that will make people laugh.
I'm pretty much in a downer right now - I feel the obligatory winter depression sneaking in from behind.
And it's not even interesting or entertaining, because it is always the same old story - stare into the grey wide open, and imagine that the world is blank and free of pain and hurt - but also completely empty.
And this is not the way to run a blog - just writing stuff down like a diary - this is a public place, goddammit!
I can't even write about my dreams, because the only dreams I have, are nightmares, and not even the interesting kind - just plain old nightmares with ghosts and dried corpses shambling through the night after me.
Okay, maybe there is one thing - Every time I try to talk or shout at them, I do it in German - I find that disturbingly entertaining, but I have no idea why.

I think it might be the school, that drains me from energy - well, you can always blame the system, can't you? Because it won't blame you back. Just put even more duties on you.

But I am indeed looking forward to tomorrow - And friend of mine and I am going to see Rick Astley himself in concert, and I think I might have some fun! :D
It's somewhat of an inside joke between us - not just the rickroll, but everything about the dear ginger-man <3

I'll go to bed now.
I just finished watching "Blue" - you know, the famous French art-film.
It is very good, and I enjoyed it, and it reminded me just a bit of how I feel. Not that my husband's dead and my only daughter too (whose name in the film is btw the same as mine) but I feel hopeless in the same way as Julie. The weather is turning grey, and this morning there was ice on my bicycle.
I'm still searching for the point in all this. I think it might get better if I do.

Stay depressed - write better!

I recently found this text, which explains why it is so hard to write when you're happy, and a lot easier when you're a big mess of negative feelings - and I agree completely.
Read it - it's awesome : thoughtcatalog.com/2011/why-its-harder-to-write-when-youre-happy/

Soppy days and bleak nights

It's growing colder these days - outside as inside.
Been listening to Jill Tracy more and more, and since my boyfriend told me this tuesday he wasn't sure of our relationship anymore, it escalated into something unhealthy.

I feel bleak. Just as bleak as it gets, and I'm not even noticing events around me anymore - there's a 'renaissance market' held at my school tomorrow, and I who love everything about that period and is almost fanatically obsessed with every before the 17th century can't manage myself to go. It's so dull. So terribly dull.
But I think there must be one good thing about this - as all other artists, great as small, I create better when I'm in a permanent state of melancholia - it'll at least be good for my career.

I'm not even sad anymore. I'm just in a grey trance. And as the dear Jill Tracy sings, well - it leaves me cold.

Who am I? Who are you? Do you care? NO!

I figured it was a good idea to make a kind of 'introduction' to meself - although I've already rumbled enough through this 'blogging thing' already.

This is me (with a friend - I'm to the left):

But this is also me:

And this is me too:

Okay, maybe that last one was a lie, but I sure as hell would like to be as gorgeous as Mrs. Addams!
I can start with the basics - I'm 18 years old, and I like tea and bats. There's a lot more things that I like as well, but you'r probably going to experience that later. Given of course, that you continue to read my marvelous blog! That would be a great honor (for me)

And the moment I have purple bangs, but since my camera is off duty, I can not take a picture *sob*

On this blog I'll write about my dreams and short stories that I write (mostly in Danish, since that is my native tongue, but I'll try writing in English too), music and stuff that goes on in the world I know.
I sincerely hope that you will join me in this quest for meaning and  knowledge and other silly things, and with these final words, I bid you goodbye - but not for long.

For as the dear gentlemen of Monty Python tells us - Always look on the bright side of life!

In Dreams of Mine: The Murderer

I have decided, that I from now on will use this blog as a place to share my dreams. I do this, because most of my dreams are very bizarre and a bit fucked up, and I'm almost never represented in the dreams - often the main person is a grown man or a young boy - I find that quietly disturbing, since I'm a girl, and a very feminine kind. Maybe it is my oppressed, male self that speaks through my dreams? I'll never know. It is also important to note, that all the things that I dream about the persons in the dreams, how they are, I do not know WHY they are so; I just know.
Without further ado, my first dream:

I dreamed that a young family had moved into an old, newly renovated farmhouse. The man is a senior officer, the child a 10-year old girl and the woman is naive and modern.
All the colours have the whole dream (I actually wrote film here, when I wrote it down in the morning, and I have no idea why) through a beige overlay with blue undertones.
One night, the man is visited by a fellow officer, who tells him, that he knows about a 'dirty case' the man is a bit too involved with. Because of this, the man shoots the stranger.
His daughter has seen it all though, and faints on the kitchen floor. Because she is a witness, he takes her into her arms and carries her deep into the city. The sun rises.
It is now important to mention that he loves her very much.
